Tribute to NALB Founder - Dr. Ben C. Hobgood

It is with deep sadness that the North American Liaison Bureau announces the death of its founder, Dr. Ben C. Hobgood. Born in a remote village in the heart of Congo, Dr. Hobgood committed his life to his family, his faith and the people of Congo. His unfailing belief in the value of education being the key to Congo's growth inspired him to contribute to the creation of the Congo Protestant University in 1959.

By establishing the North American Liaison Bureau in 1998, Dr. Hobgood created a nonprofit organization in the United States that would raise awareness and support for the Congo Protestant University and its projects. May we continue to carry his vision forward as we work to support an Education that Builds a Nation.

Donations in his memory may be made to the North American Liaison Bureau (Congo Protestant University), designating the “B and B Hobgood Named Fund,” 2216 Elgin Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 USA or online by using the donate button on this website.
